When you sign in with Apple, we receive and store:

Your email address (or Apple's private relay address if you choose "Hide My Email")
Your name (only if you choose to share it during first sign-in)
A unique identifier from Apple

Content You Create

Tidbits: Links you save, including URL, title, and description
Comments: Text you write in discussions
Shares: When you share tidbits with other users

Device Information

Push notification token (to send you notifications)
Device identifier (to manage your devices)
Basic session information for debugging

Website Analytics

Our website (tidbitsapp.com) uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site. This collects anonymized data about page views and does not track you within the app.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide and maintain the Tidbits service
Send you push notifications about shared content and comments
Enable sharing features between you and other users
Debug issues and improve the app

Your data is stored securely on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers in the United States. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information.

Your Rights

You can:

Access your data: View your tidbits, comments, and profile in the app
Delete your account: Remove your account and all associated data from Settings
Control sharing: Choose who can see your content

For California residents (CCPA) and EU residents (GDPR): You have additional rights including data portability and the right to opt out of data sales (we don't sell data, so this doesn't apply).

Data Retention

We keep your data as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your data.

Children's Privacy

Tidbits is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes through the app.
